Countries visited:

Visited Japan in 2014 to attend a conference organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Participated in the programmes for young Parliamentarians from India in Australia during May 13-21, 2015 and United Kingdom during November 1-7, 2015 for participation in the British Government’s annual flagship Chevening CPR (Centre for Policy Research) Parliamentarians Fellowship Programme for Indian Parliamentarians.

Delegations led by Smt. Anupriya Patel in her capacity as Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare

In the capacity of Hon’ble Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Smt. Anupriya Patel led a delegation to the Commonwealth of Dominica and Grenada from 8-17th May, 2018 under the ‘VRIHAD SAMPARK YOJNA’ of Ministry of External Affairs. It was the first Ministerial visit from India to these countries.

During her visit to Dominica from 11-12th May, 2018, she met the Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon’ble Health Minister, Hon’ble Minister of Family and Gender Affairs of Dominican Republic and discussed the issues of importance between the two countries. While in Grenada during 13-14th May, 2018, she called on the Shri Keith Mitchell, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble Health Minister of Grenada and discussed areas of mutual interest to enhance overall cooperation between the two countries. While meeting the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Grenada, Smt. Anupriya Patel handed over the congratulatory letter from Shri Narendra Modi ji, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

During her visit to both the countries, the Hon’ble Minister met the Indian community and interacted with them.

Delegations led by Smt. Anupriya Patel in her capacity as Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry Greece during April 14-15, 2022:

As Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Smt. Anupriya Patel led a delegation to Greece during April 14–15, 2022 to co-chair the 8th session of the India-Greece Joint Economic Committee meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragkogiannis. During the meeting a Protocol was signed by both the Ministers aimed at strengthening and further developing the economic and trade relations for mutual benefit of both the countries. A Memorandum of Understanding on Enhancing Bilateral Investment Relations between Invest India, National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of India and Enterprise Greece was also exchanged by both the Ministers.

Bangkok, Thailand during May 23-24, 2022:

Smt. Anupriya Patel led a delegation to Bangkok, Thailand during May 23-24, 2022 to attend the 78th session of the UNESCAP, which was also commemorating the 75th anniversary of its foundation. During the Ministerial segment of the 78th session of UNESCAP, the Hon’ble Minister delivered country statement on the theme, “A common agenda to advance sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific”.

Siem Reap City, Cambodia during September 16-17, 2022:

The Hon’ble Minister led another Indian delegation during September 16-17, 2022 to Siem Reap City, Cambodia to co-chair the 19th ASEAN-India Economic Ministers’ Meeting along with H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, Kingdom of Cambodia on 16th September, 2022 and to represent India in the 10th East Asia Summit Economic Ministers’ Meeting held on 17th September, 2022. The meeting saw representation from all 10 ASEAN countries as well as 8 partner countries viz. Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation and the USA. The Ministers exchanged views on global and regional economic developments including the outcomes of the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference, post-pandemic economic recovery efforts, measures adopted to mitigate the impact of global supply chains disruptions and strong inflation pressure.

Baku, Azerbaijan during October 24-25, 2023:

Led a delegation to Baku, Azerbaijan to Co-Chair the 6th Meeting of the Inter-Governmental Commission for Commercial, Economic, Scientific & Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of India during October 24-25, 2023.

Born on 28th April, 1981 at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anupriya Singh Patel is a well-known face of Indian politics. Her father, late Dr. Soney Lal Patel, was founder of Apna Dal, whose untimely demise in a road accident suddenly propelled Smt. Patel into her political journey.

She is blessed with excellent oratory skills and always speaks emphatically on the floor of the House. As a Member of Parliament, she has made a mark with her meaningful interventions in the parliamentary debates and discussions.

Her commitment and unparalleled spirit to work towards strengthening the social justice ideology is admired by people at large. She has garnered widespread public support for the developmental initiatives undertaken in her Parliamentary constituency, Mirzapur and beyond.

Smt. Anupriya Singh Patel, face of resurgence of the underprivileged, presents a strong image of a leader who is passionate, decisive and committed towards the cause of the oppressed and marginalised sections of the society. She is truly a ‘role-model’ not only for women but even for the youth in a young nation like India. She leads by setting examples and inspires people to contribute towards the nation’s progress.

At the age of 35 years, she took oath as the ‘Youngest Minister’ in Modi - 1 Government and served as Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare. She made her second start in the Council of Ministers as Minister of State for Commerce & Industry in Modi – 2 Government.

Re-elected as Member of Parliament (18th Lok Sabha) for the third consecutive term. Inducted as Union Minister of State on 9th June, 2024 in Modi-3 Government. Assumed the charge of Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; and Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on 11th June, 2024.
